Stray Haven Pet of the Week for the week of July 1, 2018

Stray Haven Pet of the Week

Hello everyone, I’m Lizzy. I’m a sweet, timid, six and a half year old lab mix who loves to give hugs! I haven’t always had the greatest life; I was brought to Stray Haven as a stray last October so my social skills aren’t the greatest, but I have made a lot of improvement since I’ve gotten here.

I would do best in a home with older, respectful teens and no other dogs. I might be able to live with cats though. I met a couple at the vet once and they seemed to be okay, but I will need a slow introduction to them.

I’ve been working on my basic obedience skills and I’ve already learned to walk nicely on a leash. I always come back when I’m called, and with a little more training I should be able to be off leash as well. Sometimes I forget my training if I get TOO excited though.

If you’d like to learn more about me, contact the Stray Haven team, or stop by the shelter to meet me.
