Owego Little League recently announce the receipt of a grant received from the Mildred Faulkner Truman Foundation in the amount of $24,000. The grant was awarded to Owego Little League to purchase a new commercial mower as well as a state of the art field groomer.
The grant award will allow the league to be able to maintain the six field complex with the proper equipment needed.
Owego Little League this year supports over 325 youth, both boys and girls, from t-ball to Teener baseball as well as softball.
Owego Little League President Scott Rollison stated, “The Truman estate has always been a strong supporter of our league and the youth of the Owego Community. The youth are appreciative of the support they receive and we are again thankful for the foundation’s support.”
