Candor is on track to host a Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 28. Marchers will start at the Legion building on Spencer Avenue at 10 a.m., and continue down Main Street.
When they reach the lower bridge, there will be a ceremony honoring Navy personnel who died in service to our country.
The parade will then continue to the end of Main Street, turn left on Owego Road, and march to Maple Grove Cemetery where there will a ceremony honoring all of the men and women who have died in military service for the United States.
The Candor Veterans Memorial is now complete in Maple Grove Cemetery. The landscaping is in place as is the solar lighting on the American and POW flags.
Memorial Day ceremonies will start at approximately 10:30 a.m. at the cemetery, and after the Memorial Day parade.
