The Tioga County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting celebration at the Black Cat Gallery’s new location on Wednesday. The Gallery moved a few doors east, and is now located at 214 Front St. in Owego.

And their official move is right on time for First Friday, held on May 4, from 6 to 9 p.m. in downtown Owego. Positioned next to the Barleycorn and the law office, the Black Cat Gallery will offer live music, new artwork and community!

First Friday brings art, celebration, and the music of the duo Tracey Steinkamp Cucci and Drew Minson, known in this area as “DnT”. Tracey and Drew will be rocking with a harmonizing vocal mix of blues, folk and original tunes accompanied by guitar, mandolin and harmonica from 6 to 9 p.m.

The featured artist of the month is photographer Shelley Roush Burke, originally from Owego. The beauty of nature and travel inspires Shelley’s photography. Working with nature’s color, she captures images that are meaningful and inviting.
