Book Reviews continue at the Coburn Free Library

The Friends of the Coburn Free Library recently announced that the popular Noon Hour Book Reviews began on April 4. The reviews are held every Wednesday in April and begin at 12:10, and end at 12:45. Lunch is provided for a nominal charge. All of the reviews are held in the Fellowship Hall of the Methodist Church, which is located next to the library on Main Street in Owego.

On April 11, Meredith Gallaro (librarian at the Coburn Free Library) will be discussing Prairie Fires:  the American Dreams of Laura Ingalls Wilder, authored by Caroline Fraser.

The author of Wild Things, Jaimee Wriston Colbert, will be in the house on April 18. Jaimee, the author of six books, is a Professor of English and Creative Writing at Binghamton University.

Ailsa Donnelley will present the final review on April 25. She will discuss My Family and Other Animals, which was the basis for the PBS Masterpiece series, The Durrells in Corfu, and was written by Gerald Durrell.
