A 41-year-old Owego man who allegedly had sexual contact with a child will be sentenced on April 20 in Tioga County Court. 

Glenn E. Cummings was found guilty by a jury trial on Feb. 16 of felony counts of second-degree criminal sexual act and second-degree rape, along with misdemeanor counts of third-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. 

Upon sentencing, Cummings faces up to seven years in prison for his charges.

The Tioga County District Attorney’s Office announced Cummings’ conviction on Tuesday.

Cummings was found guilty of having sexual contact with a victim under the age of 15 in the Town of Tioga between the end of 2016 and February 2017. He is being held in Tioga County jail without bail, until sentencing.

Tioga County Sheriff’s deputies investigated the case.
