Zentangle Workshop and more at Candor Free Library

Looking for something fun and unusual to do? Join the Candor Free Library for a Zentangle Workshop on Saturday, March 3.

The workshop begins at 2 p.m. and is open to people of all ages – kids, parents and grandparents. The workshop is free, but you need to register at the library or call 659-7258.

Funding for this workshop is provided through a BOOKS Program grant and Senator Akshar.

Fran Howe leads the workshop and has been Zentangling for years.

“It’s fun and relaxing,” Howe stated, adding, “Better yet, you don’t need any art experience to do it.”

The Write Now Writers will meet on Wednesday, March 7 at 10 a.m. Local writers gather to talk about the craft of writing, get feedback on their work, and support each other on the path to publication.

For more information, contact author Carol Henry at 659-7661.

Sandy Morris will be doing the first of two “Painting with Sandy” workshops on March 10 at 1:30 p.m. The workshop is free, but space is limited to 14 students, so please make sure you register. She’ll offer a second workshop later in the month. These are funded through the BOOKS Program.

And of course there is the weekly Story Hour on Tuesday mornings at 10:15 a.m. Later in the month, look for news about the ArtSplash workshop on “sounds of spring”, a second painting workshop, some hands-on science about “Things that fly”, and the formation of a Lego club.
