Twelve boys and girls from Tioga and surrounding areas, ages nine to 14, achieved council level champion status at the 4th Annual Knights of Columbus / Dan Manwaring Memorial held at Tioga Central High School last Saturday.
Blessed Trinity Council #251 of Tioga County sponsored the competition.
Among the winners were the following.
Nine year old girls – RaeAnne Feeko; 10 year old girls – Kali Bailey; 11 year old girls – Taliah Speer; 12 year old girls – Kyra Bailey; 13 year old girls – Taylor Benjamin; and 14 year old girls – Kayleigh Miller.
Nine year old boys – Jackson Bombard; 10 year old boys – Brennan Sindoni; 11 year old boys – Karson Sindoni; 12 year old boys – Evan Sickler; 13 year old boys – Joshua Reis; and 14 year old boys – John Babcock, Jr.
Each of these winners will compete in the district competition on Feb. 10 at Tioga Central High School with an eye towards moving on to the chapter level in Rochester on March 4, the regional level in Syracuse on March 17, and ultimately to the state championship at West Point in April.
