Six arrested for manufacturing Meth

On Tuesday, Dec. 19, the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team, SORT, Troop “C” Uniform Force, with assistance from the Cortland County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 4309 North Homer Ave. (Rte. 11), in the Town of Cortlandville, Cortland County following an investigation into the unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine.

Upon execution, components used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine were discovered requiring the response of the New York State Police CCSERT Team to remediate the hazardous materials.

The following items were seized during the search warrant: 14 ounces of methamphetamine oil, mini zip with methamphetamine residue, three expended “one pot” labs, HCL gas generators, sodium hydroxide, ammonium nitrate, lithium metal, empty pseudoephedrine blister packs, cold pack packaging, camping fuel, starter fluid, lab equipment consisting of hoses, filters and bottles, battery casings, tools and a coffee grinder.

Arrested as a result were Wendy V. Bergman, age 58 of Cortland; John M. Rawson, age 37 of Cortland; Dawn R. Robbins, age 42 of Homer; Jarmie D. Morris, age 42 of Cortland; Joshua J. Morris, age 37 of Cortland; and Gabe P. Morris, age 40 of Cortland.

All defendants were charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd Degree – a Class A-II Felony, Unlawfully Manufacturing Methamphetamine in the Third Degree – a Class D Felony, and Unlawful Disposal of Methamphetamine Manufacturing Materials – a Class E Felony. 

The defendants were arraigned in Cortlandville Town Court and remanded to the Cortland County Jail without bail.
