On Friday, Dec. 1 and Saturday, Dec. 2, the Owego Free Academy Girls Basketball Team held its annual Jack Frost Tournament. The two-day eight game tournament featured JV and Varsity Teams from Hinsdale, Ithaca and Moravia.

The OFA Girls Basketball Program uses the tournament to collect donations of winter hats, gloves and other items for the Tioga County Boys and Girls Club.

This year the tournament brought in over 150 items that will be distributed during the annual Boys and Girls Club Christmas Dinner planned for Thursday, Dec. 14.

They would like to thank everyone who donated items to help those in the community. They would also like to thank their local sponsors who help make the tournament possible. Sponsors include Apalachin Golf Course, DRS Construction, Mister Koffee, Owego Pharmacy, Taylor Garbage, Thomas Bronk Real Estate Team, Peak Performance, Tri-Town Insurance, Bud’s Place, Perrino Chiropractic, Cole Auction, Scott Smith & Son, All-Star Sports, Sweeney’s Market and Perestam Chiropractic.
