On Nov. 8, an Owego Free Academy classroom welcomed Tioga County Public Health Department’s Preparedness Coordinator, Emily Warfle, for a presentation.

Warfle’s presentation covered the role of the Health Department and how it relates to what the students are learning in class. Students also learned about the importance of emergency preparedness for themselves and the community.

To learn how you can be better prepared for an emergency, call Tioga County Public Health at (607) 687-8600 or visit www.tiogacountyny.com/departments/public-health/.
