Winterfest, a free holiday celebration for the entire family, returned to Tioga Downs on Friday evening, Nov. 24.
Scheduled on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, starting Nov. 24 and running through Dec. 23, Tioga Downs’ Fourth Annual Winterfest offers a spectacular ride-through light show by horse-drawn carriage. Admission is free.
At a media preview and press conference on Nov. 21, Marketing Services Manager, Jim Weed, commented, “We’re changing it up this year. Winterfest will feature an all new ride-through light show experience.”
Events and activities throughout the season include a free Love-N-Stuff Bear Factory on Nov. 25 from 5 to 8 p.m., along with a “letters to Santa” mailbox.
Beginning in December, an ice-sculpting contest on Dec. 1 starts at 6 p.m., a craft show runs from 2 to 9 p.m. on Dec. 2 and again on Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and a wreath contest begins on Dec. 1 with final judging and cash prizes awarded on Dec. 8.
