Addiction Center of Broome County offers treatment

For those seeking treatment from an addiction, such as heroin and opioid addiction, the Addiction Center of Broome County’s Center of Treatment Innovation (COTI) offers these services to Tioga County residents, free of charge. The program was created to help bridge the gap in services for those battling heroin and opioid addiction in Tioga County.

The new program makes it easier for those seeking treatment to gain access and support that can assist in making their recovery a success. They have a trained staff of caring individuals in a judgment free zone that can help explore all of the pathways of recovery. They also offer peer support services with their Certified Recovery Peer Advocates.

Whether it’s at a local coffee shop, a community center or even their mobile office, these individuals have the “lived experience” to work with individuals at their speed through all stages of recovery. They have licensed clinicians who can offer on-site assessments and referrals to a treatment facility that works best for the individual.

The team of care managers can also help link to other resources providing assistance in transportation, housing, educational and vocational programming and mental health services.

In addition to these services, there is a doctor and nurse on-staff to provide tele-health and medication-assisted treatment.

All services are free of charge.
