Multiple arrests for Narcotics Possession in the City of Cortland

On Nov. 17, 2017, the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team, SORT, Troop “C” Uniform Force, and Cortland County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 76 1/2 Central Ave., Apt. 2 in the City of Cortland, Cortland County, following an investigation into the sale of crack cocaine. 

As a result of the search warrant, Kern Daniels, age 36; Malcolm Innocent, age 24; and Mark McClammy, age 29, were arrested and transported to State Police in Homer for processing.

The following items were seized during the search warrant: 13 baggies containing approximately 7 grams of crack cocaine; 8 knotted wraps containing approximately 5 grams of heroin; 3 knotted wraps containing approximately 2 grams of cocaine; 3 knotted wraps containing approximately 2 grams of “molly” (synthetic MDMA); and 1 knotted wrap containing marihuana.

Police also seized nine cell phones, a digital drug scale and drug packaging material, and $2,122 in U.S. Currency.

Kern Daniel, age 36 of Cortland, N.Y., was arrested for two counts of Criminal Possession Controlled Substance 3rd Degree (cocaine and heroin), two counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree, Criminal Nuisance 1st Degree, and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana.

Malcolm Innocent, age 24, Cortland, N.Y., was arrested for Criminal Possession Controlled Substance 3rd Degree (cocaine) and two counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree.

Mark McClammy, age 29, Cortland, N.Y., was arrested for Criminal Possession Controlled Substance 3rd Degree (cocaine) and two counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree.

The defendants were arraigned in the City of Cortland Court. 

Daniels was remanded to the Cortland County Jail on $250,000 cash or $500,000 bond.  

Innocent and McClammy were remanded to the Cortland County Jail on $100,000 cash or $200,000 bond.
