Cowboys in bikinis and pink colored horses are not a sight one often sees, but Saturday both could be glimpsed in Athens area as the community came together for the fourth year to fight alongside women battling cancer.

Previously a breast cancer benefit, Rockin’ n Stables’ annual Barrels and Bikinis horse show displayed solidarity, supporting cancer of all kinds as it branched out to raise money for local resident Dolly Talcott in her fight against cervical cancer.

Talcott’s daughter Jaime Talcott shared that her mother was diagnosed with stage four terminal cancer that affected her uterus, lymph nodes, bones, and cervix, all which are currently in remission except for the latter.
