Absentee Ballot Applications for General Election

Absentee Ballot Applications are available daily during business hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, or on the Tioga County Board of Elections website, www.tiogacountyny.com/departments/board-of-elections/.

To apply for and complete an Absentee Ballot, the Board of Elections will offer “extended hours” of 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 24, Thursday, Oct. 26, Wednesday, Nov. 1, and Thursday, Nov. 2 along with two Saturdays, Oct. 28 and Nov. 4, from 9 a.m. to noon. 

The last day to postmark an application for an Absentee Ballot is Oct. 31. In person Absentee Ballot applications may be completed at the Board of Elections office through Nov. 6. Their offices are located at 1062 State Route 38 in Owego.  

Students who will be away at college and are planning to vote must apply annually for an Absentee Ballot. Those with permanent health concerns may apply to be put on a Permanent Absentee Ballot Application List.
