On Oct. 6, 7 and 8, 13, 14 and 15, and Oct. 20, 21 and 22, the Ti-Ahwaga Community Players will present Tennessee Williams’ most famous play, The Glass Menagerie
Williams’ semi-autobiographical rendering recounts, through the use of a narrator, the memories of a family’s fractured, disconsolate, and dysfunctional attempts to survive while existing between illusions and realities.
The production, under the direction of James Osborne, offers a cast of veteran Ti-Ahwaga actors to include Jane Nichols as the family matriarch, Amanda; Shane Smith as Tom, the beleaguered son; Anna Simek as the frail and poignant daughter and sister, Laura; and Reidan Pitarressi as the reality figure that is brought into the family as a “gentleman caller”.
Friday and Saturday performances are at 8 p.m. and the Sunday matinees are at 2 p.m.
Tickets and reservations can be obtained by calling the playhouse at 687-2130 or online at www.tiahwaga.com.
