Twenty-two-year-old Ronnie Welch, from Susquehanna, Pa., ran his 1998 Subaru Outback 3-cyclinder in the Tioga County Fair held in August, and finished in the second heat. His number was 27RW. According to Welch, he feels he would have won, but his battery came loose. He had fun running the derby, though, and plans to return next year.
