Workshop offered on transportation options in Tioga County

Want to learn about transportation options available to you as a Tioga County resident or business? Want to share information about your transportation needs or possible solutions?

All are welcome to a presentation on transportation options presented by Andy Fagan, director of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tioga County. Through a mobility management grant from the Rural Heath Network of South Central NY, Fagan has been working with the Tioga County Transportation Committee to complete an inventory of transportation options.

There are two opportunities coming up to participate. They include Wednesday, Sept. 27, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Berkshire Community Building on Jewett Hill Road. The second is on Thursday, Sept. 28, from 8 to 9 a.m. at the Hubbard Auditorium in the Ronald E. Dougherty County Office Building at 56 Main St., Owego.

Call CCE Tioga at 687-4020 by Sept. 26 to reserve a seat.

At the workshop, guests will learn about transportation options and resources available to Tioga County residents, the “Getthere” Call Center, “Connection to Care” assistance, Travel Training, and new travel innovations underway. In addition, you will also have an opportunity to share transportation needs and suggest transportation solutions.

For more information, contact Andy Fagan by calling (607) 687-4020, ext. 312 or email to agf1@cornell.edu
