On Sept. 15, troopers from the Underwater Recovery Team assisted the Community Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET) with marijuana eradication from an island in the Susquehanna River in Owego.
Within a New York State Police Facebook post, a photo was provided. It was also estimated, in the post, that the marijuana seized was worth around $30,000.
It was not disclosed from the police, however, how the marijuana crop was found, and if there were any arrests pending.
