Tioga United Way responds to Hurricane Harvey

In response to the displacement of thousands of individuals due to Hurricane Harvey, Tioga United Way is collaborating with United Way of Texas and United Way of Louisiana to offer members of the community the opportunity to help those that have been impacted by this natural disaster.

The most requested resource at this time is monetary donations, so Tioga United Way has set up the “Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief Fund” through their office for those that wish to make a contribution. One hundred percent of these gifts will be used to help those that have been impacted by Hurricane Harvey through United Way of Texas and United Way of Louisiana.

For those that wish to give a material donation or to volunteer, Tioga United Way has compiled a list of the organizations that are seeking resources, what they need, and how you can contact them. This list can be found on their website, tiogaunitedway.com.

To donate, contact Tioga United Way by calling (607) 687-4028 and they will be happy to take payment details over the phone.

People can also drop off or mail their gifts to Tioga United Way, Inc., 24 State Route 96, Turner House, Owego, N.Y. 13827.

If calling in or mailing a donation, please be sure to indicate that the donation is for the Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief Fund.
