The Ti-Ahwaga Community Players are headed to The Depot in Newark Valley

The Newark Valley Historical Society is excited to host the Ti-Ahwaga Community Players on Sept. 9 at 8 p.m. and Sept. 10 at 2 p.m. as they present a play at The Depot in Newark Valley.

The production, entitled The Duck Call, is a hilarious comedy based on what happens when a venue is double booked and two competing performances, one a stage play and the other a radio show, must find a way to produce both productions simultaneously.

Step back to a time when you were sitting in front of your Philco radio listening to shows such as Fibber McGee and Molly, The Lone Ranger, or The Great Gildersleeve, when sound effects caused you to see the action in your mind instead of on a 50-inch screen in your living room.

The Duck Call was written and directed by Sonny Dewitt, executive director at the Ti-Ahwaga Theater.

Tickets are available at the Ti-Ahwaga Performing Arts Center, at any Depot Friday Night in Newark Valley, or by calling the Newark Valley Historical Society at 642-9516 and leaving a message with your phone number.
