Bike Night cut short because of storms last week; City Limits to perform on Wednesday

Bike Night cut short because of storms last week; City Limits to perform on WednesdayCity Limits will perform for Bike Night on Wednesday.

Rains dampened Bike Night in Owego last Wednesday, cutting the event short by an hour and a half as rains fell and then continued. Despite the weather, guests that attended enjoyed a brief performance by String of Pearls.

This Wednesday, Bike Night will welcome City Limits, a band based out of Ithaca, N.Y.

City Limits is a seven-piece band that plays various songs from classic rock and soul to contemporary blues. They formed two years ago when the members met at the Tuesday Blues Day weekly jam at the Dock in Ithaca.

Members include Dan Paolangeli (lead guitar), Andy Lockwood (vocals), Glen Porter (drums), Lisa Bloom (bass guitar), Bob Fisher (trumpet), Jim Hull (trombone) and Robert Sarachan (sax and keyboards).

A unique feature that no other band in the area has is a horn section, which makes City Limits stand out from the crowd.

Their performance will take place on Aug. 9 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Bike Night in Owego.
