Village propositions voted down on Tuesday

Two propositions were voted down at the polls in the Village of Owego on Tuesday.

The proposition to dissolve the village justice received 168 votes to dissolve, and 260 no votes.

The proposition to make the clerk treasurer’s position appointed versus elected also failed, with 159 yes votes and 269 voted no.
