Story Laurie entertains on July 12.

In your quest for fun summer activities, Coburn Free Library, located at 275 Main St. in Owego, N.Y. has you covered. Coburn has educational children’s programs each Wednesday in July, funded by the Town of Owego.

The library will host Animal Adventure on July 19 from 11 a.m. until noon, and Farmer Tom on July 26 from 10 to 11 a.m.

Another July treat is Paws to Read on July 21, from 11 a.m. to noon. In this program, children sign up for ten-minute slots to read to a specially trained service dog. This scientifically proven reading strategy is a hit with the kids. Registration is required for Paws to Read, and you can call 687-3520 to register for this program.

Coburn Library also has an Adult Summer Reading Program, with prizes. If you are a reader and enjoy free stuff, this might be just the thing for you.

For more information on any of the library programs, call 687-3520.
