On July 15, 2017, the 9th Annual Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway of Valor Tribute Ride, sponsored by Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 377, Chapter 480 and Chapter 17 of the Blue Knights, departed from the Owego Free Academy at 11 a.m.
The 100-mile ride travels New York State 38, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway of Valor. The ride includes a stop in Groton, the home of Medal of Honor recipient 2LT Terrence Graves, USMC; and Throop, the home of Medal of Honor recipient SP4 Robert F. Stryker, U.S. Army.
The ride then continues to Hannibal, where it ends with food and entertainment.
