On Tuesday, Tioga Downs announced that the 38 Special performance, as part of the Summer Concert Series, has been rescheduled for July 28 at 8 p.m. The original show, which serves as a benefit for the Southern Tier Veterans Support Group, with funds matched by Owner Jeff Gural, was scheduled for July 1, but then canceled due to inclement weather.

Beginning today, guests who had tickets to the rained out show can exchange them for the July 28 show. The same seats will be issued for the rescheduled concert as long as guests visit the Tioga Downs Gift Shop by 9 p.m. on July 20. Guests can still exchange a ticket or stub after July 20, but exchanged concert tickets will be based on seat availability.

Remaining tickets will go on sale for $15 to the general public after July 21 and are available through Ticketmaster or at the Tioga Downs Gift Shop. Gural will match the additional tickets sold.

The Southern Tier Veterans Group supports the veterans and military men and women within nine counties in the Southern Tier. The proceeds from the concert will enable the group to continue providing for veterans.

Thanks to the Southern Tier Horsemen, live harness racing that was originally slated for July 28 was canceled to honor the veterans through this special performance. In exchange for their generosity, Tioga Downs will donate $5,000 to the veterans on behalf of the horsemen.

Together, Tioga Downs and the Southern Tier Veterans Support Group have set a goal to reach over $100,000 from the show.
