Our neighbors are at it again, dogs barking a lot. They don’t clean up the dog’s crap and of course it blows over and I get to smell dog crap all day! Such inconsiderate people out there. Don’t know what to do or who to call. I guess you just have to live with it.

I just find this quite interesting. On June 8, on the corner of Forsythe and East Main Street, there’s a person on East Main Street that likes to park his truck so when you are on the corner of Forsythe you can’t see oncoming traffic and it caused an accident. OPD came, but the people who were in the accident got tickets and not the gentlemen that parks his truck the way that he parks it. I find that quite ridiculous. Get it together OPD!

In response to the person commenting on the Exit 66 on-ramp, people turning left in front of people making a right hand turn. I believe I know the intersection you are talking about. The person at the intersection making a right hand turn has the yield sign, so you have to yield to the person making a left hand turn. I hope that helps.

Consider this the next time you go to buy your groceries or pick up that bottle of vitamins for your children. Three 8 oz. glasses of milk supplies more nutrition than anything else you can get. For example, in order to receive the same amount of nutrition in the same balance in one day you need to eat for protein, four hard boiled eggs, for calcium 36 1/2 cups of raw kale, 2 1/2 cups kidney beans for phosphorus, for potassium three small bananas, for vitamin D, 6.6 oz. of sardines, for riboflavin 1 cup of almonds, for vitamin B12, 1lb. of pork chops, and for vitamin A, 2 cups of green beans. Now, if you can eat all of that in one day, you’re doing good. So I guess before you reach for that one a day vitamin or for all those groceries, think about it, three glasses of milk is all it takes to equal all of this nutrition. Happy farming you dairy farmers, you’re doing a great job!

It’s not hard to tell it’s a political year. Our Superintendent is already out of his office and on the radio. That’s telling you something isn’t it. If he had done that a little more he might have a good chance of getting back in, but I don’t give him much luck right now.

I was in the Army and stationed in France for two and a half years back in the late 50’s and 60’s. While in Paris I took a picture of Sophia Loren as she posed. You know I can’t remember if we talked. Can you imagine that?

I realize that farmers are the crutch of our nation, but isn’t there a thing where farmers shouldn’t be spreading manure all over the roads? You shouldn’t have to have this on your car, there should be a law against this and it’s not just a little bit, it’s a lot of manure on the road. Come on farmer, clean up after yourself.

~

Wow, now maybe they’ll start paying attention to gun control!

This call is about Judge Boland not being a judge anymore and the Owego Village Court. I am totally against that move. I think he is the best thing that every happened and I would like to see him remain as the Village Justice in the Owego Village Court.

I agree with the person who called in last week and said the Nichols Post Office is a disgrace. The grass and weeds are 3-foot high all around it. Nobody is taking care of it. The only part of it that gets mowed and kept nice is done by the neighbor, and the neighbors on both sides keep it clean.

~

There are a couple seats up for election in Nichols Town government. It would be a shame if these positions ran unopposed again. Nichols could use a few candidates that are looking to put the town’s best interests first. Those who would consider it, don’t let anyone try to encourage you to run as on independent ticket. Independents do not win elections in Tioga County. Make it go through a primary and let the people decide.

Residents of Candor on West Candor Road, beware! Lock your cars and doors and watch out for your yard items. Two residents on West Candor Road have been hit by thieves. Both had money stolen from their unlocked cars, which were parked in their driveways, and one had an item of yard art stolen. These thefts occurred the Friday before Memorial Day, and Friday, June 9. If someone you know has some extra money, you should ask where they got it.

Before someone is to call someone a bonehead they should probably check their facts first. There is a yield sign posted at the on ramp facing traffic headed westbound to get onto 17 eastbound. What other purpose do you think the yield sign serves? This location is not the only one in the area.

National Political Viewpoints

Let’s look at it this way. We’ve got a president that loves Russia, loves Iraq, loves Saudi Arabia, what more could we want in a president the leader of the United States. What more could we want?

~

Donald Trump, who is the President of the United States, is such a moron that it’s embarrassing to everybody!

~

After reading the political comments in the Pennysaver, it just reinforced my position that you are nothing more than a Republican newspaper. Eight articles bashing the Democrats and even Obama, who’s not even in there anymore, and only three in favor of the Democrats. Now is that fair journalism? I don’t think so. Maybe it’s time the public hears about this and finds out who owns the Pennysaver. The Republican Party? Come on; let’s be fair about it.

~

Donald Trump is a spoiled, petulant little child. He’s got the mindset of a spoiled brat that says I’m not getting what I want. You make me mad so I’m going to hurt you. That’s exactly who he is. We need to take this serious. He’s doing the United States a great amount of damage and it’s going to continue until we get him out of office.

~

There are radical Republicans and radical Democrats. This shooting is so sad. Let us not condemn a whole party but unite Democrats and Republicans.

~

Loretta Lynch wanted the Clinton investigation stopped, according to Jim Comey’s investigation and grilling on congress. I say she was trying to influence and therefore help Hillary get elected. Every day as more and more comes out I’m more and more happy I helped put Trump in the White House.

~

President Donald Trump, you were right and the opposition is full of it. You proved your innocence and you’re still making progress for America in spite of their phony claims and roadblocks. You don’t even draw a paycheck for your hard work. You are a true leader and thank you, from one of your voting Americans.

~

Tom Reed and Claudia Tenney, I am your constituent and I voted for you. I agree with everything you stand for. Thanks for running, winning and serving.

~

So now this is the third Bernie Sander’s acolyte who has gone berserk and has shot people he thought were Republicans. Isn’t it about time the Democrats faced facts, accepted their just defeat and moved on or will they keep fomenting violence against their opponents and causing even more mayhem and bloodshed?

~

The Democrats are working with Trump every bit as much as the Republicans worked with Obama. As you sow, so shall ye reap. Karma.

~

For deity’s sake people, pay attention. Someone wants the trio of London attackers rounded up and hung. The police killed them eight minutes after the attack started. It’ll be a waste of time to hang them too, don’t you think?

~

Did you the see the cabinet meeting that Fat Donny Two Scoops had on Monday? The cabinet members going around the table trying to out do each other and fluffing him? This is not how a modern functioning government operates. We have become a laughing stock in the world.
