Bike Night to begin in Owego

Bike Night to begin in OwegoBike Night in Owego will kick off on May 31 with a performance by the Tim Ruffo Band. The event takes place every Wednesday, from 6 to 9 p.m.

On May 31, the Tim Ruffo Band will open up for the weekly Bike Night event held at Owego’s Parkview, and located along Front Street near Draper Park. The event will take place every Wednesday through Aug. 30.

Bike Night will also have a special fundraising event taking place on opening night. Members of the Owego Hose Teams will be on hand selling raffle tickets to benefit the Baker Fireman’s Fountain Restoration and a new scholarship in memory of late cousins Louie Kies and Chris Franz who recently passed away.

The teams are raffling off a used car courtesy of Greg’s Auto Sales of Owego, and other items valued at $100 or more in conjunction with their inaugural golf tournament being held on June 3 at the Tioga Golf Club.

The car will be present at Bike Night. Other raffle items include two tickets to a Washington Redskins home game with accommodations, Weber Grill, Stihl equipment, and several other prizes.

Only 500 tickets will be sold. Winners will be announced at the golf tournament and you do not need to be present to win.
