Bring your mom to the zoo on Mother’s Day!

Binghamton Zoo

Treat your mom to a lovely day of fun at the Binghamton Zoo. To thank them for all that they do, all moms will receive free admission on Mother’s Day. Mother’s Day on Sunday is sponsored in part by Wild 104 and 98.1 The Hawk.

Don’t forget to sign up for the 4th Annual Run Wild at the Vestal Coal House on Saturday, May 20. Runners and walkers will both start at 11 a.m. This is a USATF certified 5K NY14087J on the Vestal Rail Trail.

Two ZooMobiles and educational displays will be on the course, and participants can visit the animals during and after the 5K run/walk. There will be medals awarded to overall and age group winners.

Juggler extraordinaire, Will Stafford, will be on-site and there will be live music on the patio. There will be a school participation contest with cash prizes awarded to the schools with the most participants.

A free kids run will be held after the 5K. Register at RunWild5K.Eventbrite.com or print and mail the form at triplecitiesrunnersclub.org.

The Binghamton Zoo will be having an Endangered Species Day on Sunday, May 21. Endangered Species Day is an opportunity for people of all ages to learn about the importance of saving endangered species and everyday actions they can take to help protect them. A free Zoo Mobile will also take place at the Ross Park Amphitheater presented by McDonald’s that day from 1 to 2 p.m.

The Binghamton Zoo is located at 60 Morgan Rd. in Binghamton. General admission is $8 for adults and $6 for children ages three to 11. The admissions booth is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, and the zoo closes at 5 p.m.
