Woody Allen apparently once said, “Success is 80 percent showing up.” A team of youth and adult volunteers proved that last Saturday in Owego.
In just a few hours they made some nice changes along Lake Street in Owego. With about $185 of materials from the Charles H. Bassett Youth Foundation, a few tools and other supplies, and volunteer time valued at an $200 plus an in-kind contribution of labor to the Village, this small committed group of citizens proved again that community service is a sure fire way positive differences are made.
