Valu Home Centers presented Make-A-Wish of Central New York with a check for $10,850 on April 14. 

The Valu donation was generated from funds collected in the Central New York area during the sixteenth annual Make A Change campaign. For six weeks, their cashiers asked customers to round up their purchase or drop their spare coins in a collection bin to help grant wishes for children with life-threatening conditions in the communities that they serve. 

One hundred percent of these donations will support Make-A-Wish of Central New York as they improve the quality of life for children and their families facing the unimaginable through the power of a wish. Valu Home Centers is covering all administrative costs and associated fees from this fundraising campaign to ensure that every penny contributed goes directly to young people in need. 

“Valu’s philosophy is to give where you live, and we’re excited to give back to this community that has supported us over the years,” President and CEO Michael Ervolina Jr. explained with pride.
