The Charles H. Bassett Youth Foundation is creating a new student scholarship at Owego Free Academy in honor of the Eudora and Fred Shuler family and their contributions to the Greater Owego area and Tioga County.
The $ 500 educational award will be given to a graduating senior at Owego Free Academy recognizing success in academics, balanced development, service to and concern for others and a desire to seek opportunities in the field of nursing, health sciences or medical services.
The scholarship will be presented for the first time at the Bassett Youth Foundation’s Spring Student Scholarship Reception on Friday, May 19 at the Bassett Ah-Wa-Ga Center.
