Five have been named to the Owego Apalachin Wall of Fame located in the main lobby of Owego Free Academy. The honorees will be inducted during a dinner ceremony on Wednesday, June 14 at the Owego Free Academy (OFA).
The 2017 inductees are Spc. Charles Bilbrey Jr., Janet Ellis, Lt. Col. R. Tracy Mead Jr., Janey Sargent and Jerry Slocum.
The June 14 event at OFA will begin with appetizers at 5:30 p.m. and dinner to follow at 6 p.m. The induction ceremony will get under way at 6:45 p.m.
The cost to attend is $30 per person.
There are two dinner entrée options; Marinated grilled flank steak topped with a mushroom demi-glace, and Eggplant Napoleon (breaded eggplant layered with portabella mushroom, roasted red pepper and ricotta cheese, topped with basil marinara).
Reservations are due by Friday, May 19. There is maximum seating for 75 and reservations will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
