Tioga County man indicted for selling heroin in Waverly

The Tioga County District Attorney’s office has reported that a Grand Jury has indicted Jason A. Widrig, age 19, for Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a class B felony. The indictment stems from allegations that Widrig sold heroin to another person in the Village of Waverly on or about Oct. 21, 2016.

According to the District Attorney, Widrig was also indicted on the charge of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree, a class C felony, for selling methamphetamine to another in the Village of Waverly on or about Feb. 18, 2017.

The indictment was the result of a Waverly Police Department investigation into the sale of heroin and methamphetamine locally.

Widrig was arraigned in Tioga County Court by Judge Gerald A. Keene on March 20, 2017 and was remanded to the Tioga County Jail on bail waiting his next conference date of June 2, 2017.
