The Spencer-Van Etten Youth Association (SVEYA), Inspire SVE, and the SVEC Soccer Club announce their sponsorship of a Community Concert for the S-VE Children’s Fund.

The band, Tijuana Danger Dogs, featuring local father and son Mike Toyryla and Keagan Toyryla, and band members Jesse Wheeler and Caleb Wheeler, will provide the lead entertainment for the evening. The band will play a variety of original and cover songs, presenting rock and roll music.

The Community Concert will take place at the Clyde G. Spear Auditorium at Spencer-Van Etten High School on Friday, March 31, from 7 to 10 p.m. The doors will open at 6 p.m.

The S-VE Children’s Fund has been in existence since the early 1980’s and has been used by the school district nurses to meet financial needs of children and families in the S-VE community. When families experience financial hardships such as loss of income, a house fire, severe illness or death in the family, these funds have paid for groceries, gas, fuel oil, clothing, footwear, field trip fees, school supplies and hygiene products, among other needs.

All funds collected through admission, concessions and raffles at the Community Concert will support the S-VE Children’s Fund and ensure children and families of the S-VE community have financial assistance when they experience hardship.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at the S-VE High School and Elementary School main offices and the Middle School Guidance office. The concert is open to the general public (all ages).

Eighth grade students and under must be accompanied by an adult.
