Prior to the regular meeting of the Village of Owego held Monday night, SUEZ offered an update of the Lake Street project that will replace aging water lines in the center of the downtown Historic Owego Marketplace district.

According to SUEZ, they have plans to begin the project on May 8, and will be completed with their portion some time in July. Then, NYSEG will begin work with a targeted completion date of Sept. 30, 2017. The two companies will share the costs of road repair expenses.

SUEZ also noted, at the meeting, that they are hopeful the project will go out for bid by next week.
