Tioga County Sheriff’s office reminds residents of travel advisory

The Tioga County Sheriff’s office released a reminder today that a travel advisory for all roads in Tioga County remains in effect. The public is urged to avoid all unnecessary driving and remain off the roads effective Tuesday, March 14 until Wednesday, March 15 at 8:00 a.m.

The Tioga County Sheriff’s office, in a release, stated that residents of Tioga County who must drive should use extreme caution.  

Additionally, Governor Andrew M. Cuomo has announced a full travel ban for all of Broome County beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, and a temporary tractor trailer ban on interstates I-81, I-84, I-86/Route 17, I-88 and all of the New York State Thruway.
