Tioga Chamber to hold Workplace Safety seminar

The Tioga County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a breakfast edition of Bite-Sized Pursuits on Thursday, March 2 at the Campville Fire Station #3 located at 1281 State Route 38 in Owego. The topic is Workplace Safety and the seminar will run from 8 to 9:15 a.m.

The lack of an accident does not mean the presence of a safe workplace. Most companies do not generate sales through workplace safety; but a safe workplace can improve profitability by reducing safety related costs. These costs include medical services, higher workers comp, lost employee time or decreased productivity, regulatory fines, and more.

Not all accidents can be prevented, but there are methods to transform your workplace from one that reacts to an accident, to one that challenges the status quo and implements common sense processes to prevent the accidents from happening in the first place.

Join TRC’s Safety Experts in the discussion on how to transform your workplace and improve your company’s profitability through the creation of a safe work environment.

The cost is $15 and includes a light breakfast. Reservations are required by Feb. 27. Please call the Chamber at (607) 687-2020 or email to info@tiogachamber.com
