Meet the author and book-signing event in Owego

Join the Family Resource Centers on Dec. 28 at 10 a.m. to hear Leanne Lawrence discuss the stories behind her book, “Between Hell and Hope: Teaching Humanity in an Imperfect World”.

Lawrence teaches GED classes in both community and county jail settings. Lawrence will share what inspires her to keep doing this work, despite the daily emotional toll.

Originally from Owego, N.Y., Lawrence currently lives and works in Southern Florida. Her book is currently available on Amazon.com

Light refreshments will be provided at this event and there is no fee, although donations to support the Owego Family Resource Center are appreciated.

The event will take place at Owego Health and Wellness @ Studio 72, located at 72 North Ave. in Owego, rear entrance. This is just behind the Owego Family Resource Center.

If attending, RSVP to Donna Gibson at dlv22@cornell.edu.

There is no cost to attend. Donations to the Owego Family Resource Center are welcome and light refreshments will be provided.
