Candor to host holiday parade

Candor will once again ring in the holiday season with the 2nd Annual Holiday Parade on Saturday, Nov. 26. There will be floats from businesses and community organizations with themes ranging from the holidays to winter activities; Santa will also be arriving on his sled in the parade.

The floats will form at 4:30 p.m. behind the ball field on McCarty Street facing north; enter from Mill Street. The parade will start at 5:30 p.m. from upper McCarty Street down to Main Street, and end at the Elementary School on Academy Street.

Refreshments will be served in the multipurpose room of the Elementary School. The Candor Community Chorus will be singing Christmas carols and Santa will be on hand to hear all the little ones’ wishes. The Grinch may also make an appearance.

Registration forms for floats are available at the Candor Market, Tioga State Bank, Candor Post Office, Quick’s Laundromat, and Candor’s Annual Holiday Parade Facebook page.

The Sons of the American Legion and other community organizations sponsor the annual holiday parade.
