Owego Police Department report for the week of Oct. 16-22

During the time period of Oct. 16 through Oct. 22, the Owego Police Department responded to 92 calls for service, six motor vehicle accidents, and made three arrests.

Of those was the arrest of Brandon Greenwood; age 20 of Conway, S.C. Greenwood was arrested as a Fugitive from Justice (Felony) and for Obstructing Governmental Administration (Misdemeanor) following a call of suspicious circumstances during a child custody exchange at a residence on North Avenue.

According to police, Greenwood initially provided a false name to the officers. After confirming his true identity it was learned that he had a Felony Arrest Warrant from South Carolina.  

Greenwood was turned over to Tioga Sheriff’s Department and taken into custody.

Also, on Oct. 17, 2016 at approximately 1:19 a.m., Owego Police Department officers were dispatched to a location on Spencer Avenue for a call of a male that had overdosed on an unknown substance.  

According to police, upon arrival at the location the male was found to have overdosed on a controlled substance that he consumed (Opiate).  

Emergency Medical Services were requested to administer first aid, and the male was transported to Binghamton General Hospital for further treatment.
