Tioga State Bank’s new location for affiliate Tioga State Investment Services located at 18 Lake St. in Owego, N.Y. held a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house on Sept. 30.
Tioga State Investment Services offers clients access to a wide array of financial planning options, insurance plans and brokerage services. The location also provides a 24/7 deposit-automated ATM for local businesses and consumers.
A property that lends a historic feel amongst others within the Owego historic district, the newly renovated 18 Lake Street building boasts appealing architecture outside and a cozy and modern design and finishing touches inside. In addition, the property also houses four upscale two-bedroom apartments on the second and third floors.
At the ribbon cutting and open house, Robert M. Fisher, Tioga State Bank president and CEO, thanked numerous key contributors, including the entire Tioga State Bank Project Team, the project manager, general contractor and architect, along with his wife, Beth, for their contributions and efforts.
Fisher stated, “The building is truly amazing. Restoring the building would not have been possible without the help of this tremendous team.”
Fisher also thanked the community, businesses and merchants for their support during the renovation process. Several elected officials and community leaders as well as the public attended the event.
“Thanks for welcoming us, we look forward to being your neighbors,” Fisher said.
Tioga Chamber President, Gwen Kania, shared, “Welcome to downtown Owego. We’re happy to have you here.”
The ribbon used for the ribbon cutting ceremony, made of 100 one-dollar bills, was a creative twist on the traditional red ceremony ribbon. Tioga State Bank stated that the money would be donated to the Owego Free Academy (OFA) Music Department, part of their effort in continuing to find opportunities to support local communities and schools.
Dan Fabricius, OFA director of bands, was on hand to accept the donation, and student members of the OFA band, a saxophone quartet, provided music for guests at the open house.
