The family of Clark Smith continued the long-time tradition of demonstrating the running of the apple cider press at the Newark Valley Apple Festival. A charter member of the historical society and instrumental in the restoration of the Bement-Billings Farmstead Museum as well as a welcoming and familiar face at past festivals, Smith passed away in June 2016.
