Approximately 100 community members gathered at 8:45 a.m. to remember and honor heroes and sacrifices made 15 years ago. Pastor Ben Baker, Newark Valley Fire Chief John Haney and Mayor James Tornatore, along with other speakers, reflected on personal experiences as well as acknowledged and gave thanks to all first responders and heroes, past and present day, who put their lives on the line to help others.  Look for this story in the next issue of The Owego Pennysaver.
