Happy Tails No-Kill Animal Shelter is looking to collect 2,500 shoes for a shoe drive, ending July 14. The shoes have to be in good condition.
They will be sent to third world countries and the organization will give the shelter $1,000 for its efforts. They have about 400 shoes so far.
Drop off the shoes off Wednesday through Saturday, from noon until 5 p.m. at 401 Main St. in Owego.
