VP-Softball Dave York reports a very busy time for his Owego Little League (OLL) Softball All-Stars.
Majors played last Monday through Thursday. Elimination games are Saturday and Monday. The championship is on Tuesday.
Minors play next week, on Monday through Wednesday. Elimination games are on Thursday and Friday, and the championship game is on Monday, June 27.
Both teams will be playing in area tournaments. Minors will compete in Vestal’s War and Moore Father’s Day Weekend and possibly two others. Majors will also play in other tournaments to be decided later this week.
OLL dedicates three weeks in July and the last week of June for the 22nd Annual Owego Baseball Tournament. Regional teams are in the process of registering.
12U games are Monday, June 27 through Sunday, July 10. The 10U Tournament plays from Monday, July 11 through Sunday, July 24.

Hyde Park hosted OLL’s inaugural “Fan Appreciation Day” on Sunday afternoon. Sponsors and volunteers were recognized. All enjoyed an afternoon at the park. Many took advantage of reduced prices in the concession stand.
Final results in the first Home Run Derby: First and second in Majors were Caden Sickler and Jack Rollison; Minors: Cole Dalton and Evan English; Teener: Jonathan Hoyt and Gavin Watkins.
