Progressive Dental invites ambitious high school seniors to apply for the 18th annual Community Scholarship. Each year, scholarships are awarded to local high school students that demonstrate volunteerism in their schools and communities.
With the cost of college tuitions on the rise and the increase in supplies needed to successfully complete classes, many students are searching for ways to lessen the cost of attendance. Since 1998, Progressive Dental has been helping to fill that need by providing scholarships to deserving students who exhibit commitment to community involvement.
Students awarded scholarships from Progressive Dental have proven themselves both academically and socially within their schools and hometowns. To be considered for an award, students must demonstrate academic success, interest in pursuing a college education and dedication to volunteerism. Previous scholarship winners have gone on to attend prestigious universities, enter competitive workforces, volunteer around the world and even find success in the field of dentistry.
Each scholarship winner receives $500 to lessen the burden of initial college costs. This reward can be used toward any initial expenses such as books, dorm necessities, travel costs or the student’s individual needs. Applications are available on the “Community Scholarship” page of the Progressive Dental website, at each dental office and at guidance offices in area schools. All entries are due to by May 1.
