Senator Fred Akshar attended several community events to commemorate Veterans Day and help honor all those who have served. He visited the Tioga County Veterans Memorial in Owego, spent time at the Veterans Day parade in Binghamton and finished the day at the Greene American Legion’s Veterans Day Concert.
On Friday, he stopped by Binghamton University’s Veterans Day wellness event that promoted all the different local resources available for veterans.
Senator Akshar stated, “It was my honor to help recognize, remember and thank veterans past and present at Veterans Day ceremonies around our region. It was good to see people of all ages in our community coming out to celebrate and pay their respects to those who served. As important as it is to thank our veterans it’s even more important to give them the tools they need to succeed when they return home.”
