The Triple Cities Ski Club (TCSC) will hold its 35th Annual Ski Sale on Sunday, Nov. 22 during its 50th Anniversary season, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Brothers 2 Banquet Facility, 2901 Watson Blvd., Endwell, N.Y. The sale is open to the public and gives sports enthusiasts an opportunity to buy and sell downhill and cross-country skis, boots, poles, bindings, clothing, plus snowboarding, skating, hockey, camping, biking and other equipment. In addition to used equipment, ski shops and vendors from ski resorts will be selling equipment and clothing at discounted prices.
Drop off times for items to sell are Saturday, Nov. 21 from 4 to 7 p.m. and 8 to 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 22. Sale items must be brought to Brothers 2 (Banquet Room) at the designated times. The registration fee is 50 cents per item and 20 percent commission for items sold. Pickup times after the sale are Sunday, 4:30 to 6 p.m. and Monday, Nov. 23 from 4 to 6 p.m. Sellers can check online during the sale to see if items have sold.
TCSC will also be conducting a bake sale during the ski sale with proceeds going to Greek Peak Adaptive Snowsports, a free program offered at Greek Peak Mountain Resort that teaches physically and mentally challenged individuals how to ski using adaptive equipment with personal volunteer ski instructors.
An informational table will be available for people to join TCSC at $10 a year. The club’s 425 members enjoy discounted prices at area ski resorts and opportunities to go on ski trips at group rates Windham and Hunter, N.Y., Sugarbush and Okemo, Vermont and an annual western trip, this year to Steamboat, Colo.
TCSC celebrates its 50th Anniversary with a Fifty in France trip at Les Trois Vallees, Val Thorens, the largest ski resort in the world. Participants are encouraged to sign up for these soon as they’re filling up fast.
Club meetings are held at Brothers 2 on the first Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. September through May, except December’s meeting will be the second Thursday.
